How did I ever get so lucky?

My mother in law said.. “beta, you know mansoor is such a loving person..he has ALL the love in the world to give to his wife, and his family and his children to come..and I’m so happy he got you…someone who loves him back so much”

And I can’t even begin to express how right she was…my fiance has to be the most loving person in the world. He is a romantic beyond all hopelessness- he just comes into one of those moods and he’ll find ways to completely sweep me off my feet…I cannot believe how lucky I am to be the recipient of that love..

    Take today for example… we had no plans to meet..out of no where, he calls and makes an impromptu plan, at which I am quite obviously delighted… We meet at our regular hangout..the place we first met. We were sitting in this little office space, and he asks me to close my eyes..I try not to peek, even though I’m itching to..and suddenly he touches my ear..My senses perk up, I try to  figure out what he’s about to do, “maybe he’s putting on earings for me”, I think to myself..

But as it would happen, he slipped on a BLUETOOTH earpiece onto my ear…and says.. “surprise!!!!”… I started shrieking…and jumping up n down all over the place… It was such an awesome surprise…but it was only the beginning..

This is a piece he specially wrote for me..and I read it , my smile spread wider and wider across my face..I couldnt help but fall in love with him all over again… I mean..how did i get so lucky? how did I find a guy who loves me SO much… I was sittign there, my mouth agape, opening and closing like a goldfish. I was speechless, and teary eyed, and still get misty eyed when I re-read this particular post…

After all of this, he took me to dinner, where he used pepper to watch my face screw up jus as I was about to sneeze, and then relax..and then get all funny again… great entertainment for him, he laughed so much..lol… but on the way there, he gave me YET another surprise.. I had mentioned to him that I wanted to get him a cellphone and a sim so that he wouldnt have to invest so much money into his phone.. but he was one step ahead of me, and had acquired an old cellphone and his mums u fone sim so that we could talk once he moved..Once again, I was left staring at him, positively boggled at his foresight and thoughtfulness..

We had a wonderful dinner, the charm was in the waiter snickering over the fact that we were holding hands, thinking that we were some couple out on a date.. After that, on our way home..came the surprise that did me in for the evening..I couldnt stop the happy tears after I got off the car…

The last surprise for the evening was  the one that eventually made me cry with sheer happiness- he had mentioned his company was making diaries with little pens attached…and that he was getting one for my ammi  in law and another for my abbu in law… today, however, he presented ME with one.. and that just did it for me..

        The point was not in the monetary value of the surprise…it was the fact that he was THOUGHTFUL enough to think about it, and cared enough to take the trouble to surprise me, is what made it priceless for me..please never stop surprising me and making me feel like the most loved princess in the world?!

    Thank you sweetheart.. you really took me by storm. I honestly feel like the happiest girl alive.. hug… I hope I make you as happy as you make me.. love you…
