For your international readers, who are not familiar, could you explain what these items are, and what they are used for? What does Thaali mean? What is Surma used for? Enlighten…
sara – surma is like…kohl pencil…eyeliner even
its made with local substances, and is used to line ur eyes.
kajal is the version of it used every day,
and surma is the one used on more traditional occasions – it is known to brighten the eyes
ittar is the arabic version of scent..it comes in little bottles with a stick for application – the only difference is, its not alchohol based like perfume.
rooh afza – is a drink, its one of those concentrates you mix in water. Its like a sherbet. it’s one of the nations favourite drinks, made with fruits and various herbs which is supposed to be very strengthening. tastes very sweet and pleasant to drink – has a hint of rose in it too
