Sonu the new MJ?!

Recently a rather “dangerous” sight has popped up on the horizon. There came a video called “Aashiq”, and everyone wondered who this stranger with the queer but somewhat snazzy moves was! THEN he came on tv in an interview saying that Micheal Jackson has always been his idol, and his dance moves have all been learnt from him! As ridiculous as it sounds, its quite the achievement for the average Pakistani. His name, ladies and gentlemen, is Sonu the Dangerous!
Now as we all know, Micheal Jackson passed away recently. It was very sad, and shocking and took everyone by surprise – his post mortem revealed a drug-lined stomach, his advisers and managers and everyone around him seemed to have worked him to death and pressured him into concerts he wasnt mentally or physically in any state to do, and his accusers have admitted to lying about the sexual abuse claims against him (which shattered him). Facebook was flooded with quotations of MJ’s song lyrics, sympathy messages and RIP wishes.
In the midst of all this, someone posted a very anti- climatic status and it really made me laugh (no disrespect meant)- ” Who needs MJ when we have Sonu the Dangerous”.
So we laughed about the irony of the matter, and about how this might just be this guys big break, being the only one in the media who can pull those moves. HowwwwwEVER, it got REALLY interesting when a particular dance studio called ACTone decided to have an MJ tribute Salsa night. The event details went something like this.
Salsa Jive night – tribute to mj!
Dress up in your white glove, or sequined jacket.
It’s not just the moves or the voice.
He was about fashion too.
there will be MJ Music…MJ Styles…MJ Dancing… and to top it all…ActOne is putting up a performance on THRILLER!!!!!
and a billie jean performance by Sonu!

I don’t think I’ve laughed this hard in a long time – I mean, what marketing, whatta strategy, and duuuuuuuude – this is one performance I’ve GOT to see!! I mean, this is SO funny, I’m temped to actually take these classes to see what its all about!!! haha. Great initiative, good idea, but what the hey…

He was so genious like bruce lee in his field.He was very kind and religeous.His stamina in his time was incredible and offcource songs are owsum.R.I.P.
